The Tin Roof, a Nashville, Tenn.-based “live music joint,” is coming to The Banks.

The more than 5,000-square-foot bar and restaurant will be located on Freedom Way next to the Police Welcome Center.

“We can’t wait to bring The Roof to Cincinnati,” Bob Franklin, managing partner at Tin Roof, said in a news release. “We strive to create a casual and fun atmosphere where people can kick-back and have a good time. We think we’ll be a perfect fit at The Banks.”

Live music will be featured several nights a week, including full bands, acoustic duos and special events and shows from nationally-known artists.

Tin Roof will be open daily for lunch and dinner serving salads, quesadillas, gourmet pressed sandwiches and appetizers.

This will be the ninth Tin Roof location. The original opened in 2002 near Nashville’s Music Row.

About 60 percent of the retail space in The Banks’ first phase is now leased with active discussions or negotiations happening on all remaining retail space.

The Banks, developed by Carter and The Dawson Co., is a mixed-use development that will feature residential, office, hotel and retail components. Phase 1A includes a parking facility, 300 apartments and 96,000 square feet of retail.

USAA Real Estate Co. is the primary equity partner for the joint city/county development project.  Jeffrey R. Anderson Real Estate Inc. is handling leasing for retail space at The Banks.
